Tulare County Cracks Down on Gangs

The Tulare County Sheriff's Gang Suppression Unit led an effort to crack down on crime in northern Tulare County.

More than a dozen law enforcement agencies knocked on doors and contacted probation and parole violators and suspected gang members in 14 communities.

The sweep resulted in 31 arrests, including 16 felony arrests.

The sheriff's department said the sweep is part of an ongoing effort to eliminate gangs and gang related crime in Tulare County.
