December 9, 2007.

Well you should be getting your bags packed, because the conference is almost here! The weather in Vegas the past couple days has been in the 50s so bring a light jacket. Don't forget it you registered or you think your registered and you still have not received your confirmation letter, no worries. Simply show up with your photo identification. We will have a Monday evening check in from 6 - 9 PM in the conference hall lobby.

Here's some things to remember to bring.

Photo identification - a must. Badges and ID cards won't work.

Clothing - Dress comfortable. If you plan on going out during the evening you may want to bring some nicer clothes.

Note taking stuff - You will receive with your registration the conference booklet and all conference material will be on computer CD. We do not provide note taking material or pens.

Laptop? - Some bring their computers with them during the event. Not a problem as long as your activities don't interfere with what's going on around you. There is no internet access in the conference room, however you can get it in your hotel room for a small charge. There are computers available for a small charge.

Business cards - network, network, network.

Camera - Some of our instructors might have a few extra minutes for a photo or two. Video gear is NOT permitted.

Reservations - Don't forget to bring a copy of your travel plans.

To save time carry your luggage on the plane. The Vegas airport is huge and you'll find waiting a long time for your checked luggage. Don't rent a car, grabbing the shuttle is the cheapest way to the hotel, while a taxi is just a bit more and a straight ride to the Riveria.

December 6, 2007.

If you've tried calling us the past couple days we apologize if you were unable to get through. The phone has been ringing nonstop and it's almost 9 PM and we still have about 2 dozen messages we ran out of time to call back. So...here's the latest...yes, we still have seats available. We are getting a lot of calls from people stating they have not received their confirmation letter. You need not worry, all you need if your photo identification.

Tomorrow, a few of us will be flying out to Vegas to prepare for the event. The rest of the staff will follow us either Sunday - Monday. As a result tomorrow we will even have less people available to answer the phones. Once set up, our Vegas crew will be also able to respond to emails, so emailing us might be the best way to get a hold of us.

Don't forget to check the website before you leave for Vegas. We'll be posting a suggested packing list this weekend and we'll let you know the weather conditions so you know what to pack. Here in Wisconsin it's currently freezing cold and snowing, so Vegas will be a nice change.

We've gotten a few calls regarding cameras. Video cameras are prohibited during the conference, however if the instructor is willing you can get your photo taken with the instructor.

Casual attire is recommended.

December 4, 2007

We still have seats available. We are averaging approximately 10 - 20 registrations a day. A large batch of confirmation letters were mailed out on Friday. The hotel still have a hand full of rooms left. Once they are full, we will post a list of nearby hotels.

November 11, 2007

Yesterday we sent out approximately 150 more confirmation letters so we are completely caught up. If you don't see your confirmation letter by Friday, then we have not received your registration.

For those of you who registered with early and are expecting the gift certificate from Code 3 Tactical Supply, those will be coming soon. We have been having some computer technical difficulties with the www.code3tactical.com website so it will properly allow the gift certificate option.

Confirmation packets are going out this week! The conference is approximately 40% full. As you might have noticed from our schedule one of the speaker's names and topics will not be released. We were notified we had the wrong hotel room rates listed on our site. The rates have changed. Click the 'hotel details on the left for additional information.

September 7, 2007

Recently we have had a handful of calls asking about what is the difference between our conference and other conferences held throughout the nation.

Price - Compare our registration fee with that of similar events. We offer the lowest price training available and our registration fee is lower than any other conference.

Instruction - All of our instructors are nationally known experts in their fields. They've been the subject of books, movies, and articles. Our instructors are given clear objectives to actually give you information that you can use. Have you ever been to another conference where you had to sit there and listen while the instructor told you war stories, the history of gangs and how bad they can be? Yes, these types of presentations can be interesting, but at the end of the day, is that the type of information you were looking for or are you looking for the latest trends, identification, interview techniques, officer safety and more?

Location - Compare the cost of the hotel, airfare and travel expenses with what you would pay for traveling to another event. Getting to Las Vegas is inexpensive and there are attractions and restaurants that meet all budgets.

Remember, not all conferences are created equal. First evaluate what type of information you're looking for. If you live in Kansas and your city is dealing with West Coast based gangs, perhaps listening to instructors from Chicago, might not be what you're looking for. Research and find out what conference meets your budget and your training needs. Contact us if you have any additional questions about the material covered in this conference.

September 3, 2007

The conference is approximately 15% full. Our last update from the hotel was approximately 3-weeks ago and they were approximately 10% full. Don't forget, the hotel will fill up within the next few weeks, so reserve your room ASAP. Conference confirmation letters have NOT been sent out yet. We hope to get them out this week--please be patient. We updated the instructor page and schedule. Remember the schedule/instructors could change. For the past 6-years, we have never had an instructor cancel, but ya' never know. For those of you who are paying for your own travel, keep checking the internet for discounted tickets to Vegas.
